"jsuncatcher" was getting old and boring and i really wanted a fresh gallery. I wasn't happy w/ my old deviations, so I just decided to start over.

it's weird that cell phones and ipods get crunched into the same category. i mean, yeah, they're both electronic devices that represent the modern age, but they serve two different functions and affect our lives in two profoundly different ways.

a cell phone keeps you in touch with the world outside us. we can talk to our friends, business partners, associates, etc. we can look up the news and weather and stuff. a cell phone keeps us active and involved with the world around us.

an ipod however, does the opposite. if you walk around all day with an ipod, it cuts you off from the people around you. you don't participate in the activities the other people are participating in. you can't hear what people say to you and therefore you don't care. it sucks.
